Nov 12, 2025 from Henry:
Would love to chat soon, happy to do it on the new book or whatever you've been thinking about!
I had a chance to go to Milan and randomly met Nicola Labanca who also was writing in the same issue as me in the Conspiratio 2023 issue!
Also I've been slowly adding to my own personal archive similar to the davidtinapple one.

Your Illich archive is very good, and has a bunch of things that can't be found either at Tinapple or at Silja's Pudel site. Good for you.
I'm delighted to hear you connected with Nicola - a dear man - though I'm not sure I understand how you could have met him randomly.
A fresh chat would be welcome to me.

Thanks David!
Yeah I tried finding some archives from various databases. I know
there's an archival project going on and got connected to it (thought
they didn't respond back yet) via Sajay (he also was the one that
shared Nicola's contact). I was messaging about meeting up and he said
there was an event in like June/July in Italy that I missed. But I was
in town for a conference and had a chance to get lunch and meet his
family! (I guess it wasn't completely random, just random that I was
in town). Would love to visit Penn State at some point, or even you in
Canada sometime really. I feel like in-person is so much better.
Oct 12, 2026, Henry to Jutta:
I was actually attending the annual Thinking with Ivan Illich 2026 in Lucca, Italy (thanks to David I was able to meet Nicola and learn about the events). I believe David would have been there otherwise? It was so moving to hear he was having a good time singing. Thank you for presence and I loved the couple of chats we had on zoom, I'm in NYC so I had thought maybe I could visit yall at some point.
Looks like our first email was 12/21/21, calls were 1/14/22, 1/27/23, 2/24/25, 11/25/25!
Yes https://henryzoo.com/illich is my archive!
Also, it would be my pleasure to help with the website in any way possible if that would be useful for you, whether on the backend/managing data/content/writing, the visuals/organization, or even hosting. (having a professional software engineer background). I would love to share more of David's work, especially with the podcast/ideas. What I want to do with my illich archive and maybe davids's is full text search so you can find a statement/quote from any of the podcasts, or other features like connecting references/links, etc. In a similar way to my own podcast transcripts and more (https://hopeinsource.com/history). I think I may also still have another recording I never posted too..
